New Publications: Foresight Report and Sustainability Guidelines Now Available

IPCSA is pleased to announce the publication of two major deliverables:

The Second Foresight Report, developed following the IPCSA Members Meeting in Casablanca in May 2025, provides insights into emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges shaping the future of Port Community Systems (PCSs) and global trade facilitation. It captures members’ collective perspectives on digital transformation, interoperability, and the evolving role of PCSs as enablers of efficient and resilient logistics chains. Javier Gallardo, Chairman of IPCSA and CEO of Portic (Spain), said: “The Foresight workshop led to some very intensive discussions and debates as we tried to anticipate what is going to happen and how it will be important for our industry. We don’t know where we will arrive because the world is unpredictable, but we worked to explore different potential scenarios and evaluate probabilities.” The full report is available here.

Complementing this, the newly released Sustainability Guidelines offer practical recommendations for PCS operators to embed sustainability principles into their strategies, operations, and data services. As digital integration platforms, PCSs can play a vital role in advancing decarbonisation, transparency, and collaboration across the maritime sector. The full guidelines can be accessed here.
